Kyle Shadix is a certified chef de cuisine, registered dietitian and culinary expert specializing in nutrition, food and health.

As a prominent figure in the nutrition world, Chef Kyle writes monthly columns for Nation’s Restaurant News, Positive Thinking Magazine and Today's Dietitian. He is also a frequent contributor to various national magazines, and is contributing author to the MinuteMeals cookbook series, Creating Your Career portfolio for Dietitians, and is co-author of Becoming a Nutritionist, a career guide slated for publication (Prentice Hall) in 2007.

Chef Kyle teaches at Columbia University/Teachers College, where he stirs his entrepreneurial stockpot. Chef Kyle received culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, and holds an M.S. in clinical nutrition from New York University's Steinhardt School of Education; he completed his dietetic internship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center (NYC). At the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, he received a B.S. degree in Consumer Foods and Nutrition with a minor in Food Science and French.
